Robert L. Jackson received his Bachelors of Science, Masters and PhD. degrees in Mechanical Engineering, at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) in Atlanta, GA, USA in 1998, 2000 and 2004, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at Auburn University in Alabama, USA. His research interests are in multiscale tribology, contact mechanics, lubrication, electrical and thermal contact resistance, surface texturing, and the fundamentals of friction and wear. Prof. Jackson is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE).
