May 2012 - Three Fellowships Awarded
Three (3) graduate students at Auburn (Mr. H. Babaei, Mr. Hamed Ghaednia) and
South Alabama (Mr. Nathan Brock) were recently awarded competitive Alabama
EPSCoR GRSP Fellowships to support their research from August 2012-August 2013.

July 2012 - NePCM Papers Presented at ASME Summer HT Conference
Three NePCM papers authored by the Auburn PhD candidates, Mahmoud Moeini Sedeh, Yousef El Hasadi and Mahdi Nabil, were presented at the ASME 2012 Summer Heat Transfer Conference, July 8-12, Puerto Rico, USA.
Dr. Liwu Fan, formerly a PhD student at Auburn, also made a presentation at the same conference based on NePCM-related research he has conducted at Zhejiang University.

August 2012 - Visiting Scholar (Prof. Yi ZHANG) joins Auburn's NePCM Group
Professor Yi ZHANG of the School of Energy and Mechanical Engineering at the Nanjing Normal University joined Auburn's NePCM group. He has both theoretical and experimental background with phase change systems. He will conduct PCM research for one year as a visiting scholar.

October 2012 - NePCM Papers Presented at the 49th SES Annual Technical Meeting at Georgia Tech
Four Auburn PhD candidates, Yousef El Hasadi, Mahmoud Moeini Sedeh, Hasan Babaei and Mahdi Nabil, made presentations of their ongoing NePCM research at the 49th Annual Technical Meeting of the Society of Engineering Science that was held October 10-12 at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, Georgia.
Matthew Perrella, formerly an undergraduate student at Auburn who performed PCM-related research during his studies, also made a presentation in the Student Paper Contest segment of the conference.

October 2012 - Review Paper Presented at the 8th International Symposium on Heat Transfer, Beijing, CHINA
A review article detailing recent developments on nanostructure-enhanced phase change materials was presented at the 8th International Symposium on Heat Transfer (ISHT-8) that was held October 21-24 in Beijing, CHINA. The paper was authored by M. Nabil, J. M. Khodadadi of Auburn and L. Fan of Zhejiang University. It was presented by Dr. Liwu Fan.

Nissan reports on using new nanaoprticle oil for specific engines
Nissan is reporting that oil containing nanoparticles (~ 0.5 percent by wt.) are being used for some of their engines. The article is at:
