Bio:

Professor Jay M. Khodadadi is the Principal Investigator of the NePCM DOE ESPCoR Implementation Grant in Alabama.  He earned his BS, MS and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA, in 1980, 1982 and 1986, respectively.  His expertise is in the area of Fluid/Thermal Sciences.  He has focused on studying transport phenomena in materials processing.  His research to date involve mathematical and physical modeling of tundish flows, mold of continuous casters, thermophysical property determination and droplets under microgravity.  In recent years, he has focused on computational modeling of active control of flow and heat transfer in heat exchange systems, microfluidic systems and phase change thermal storage systems.
