Bio:

Dr. Luis Cueva-Parra  has B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru), M.S. degree in Industrial Mathematics (Kaiserslautern University - Germany) and Ph.D. degree in Scientific Computing (University of Southern Mississippi - USA). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Auburn University at Montgomery, USA. His research agenda is focused on the study of complex physical phenomena using modern mathematical and computational techniques. His main areas of research interests are: Numerical Analysis, High Performance Scientific Computing, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Computational Physics, Industrial Mathematics, and Computational Mechanics, Heat Transfer and Combustion. Lattice gas computer simulation of multicomponent fluid flow through rigid and non-consolidate porous media, Polymer film evolution by computer simulation, Modeling of Nanoparticle enhanced Phase Change Materials by Molecular Dynamics and Lattice Boltzmann Methods, and Mathematical Modeling of practical/industrial problems are some of his specific research topics.
